Gary Wehrkamp is a Musician who divides his time equally between the studio, the stage and his students. He is a self taught multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer of music working by himself and with others. The music he performs, classes he teaches and productions he records are as diverse as he is.

 

Gary began performing as a drummer and vocalist at the age of ten,and moved on to guitar, piano and bass guitar throughout his teens. He took these skills with him when he joined the progressive rock band SHADOW GALLERY in 1992. The band has released seven albums and Wehrkamp has appeared on more than seventy-five other albums along the way, as a producer, engineer or performer. SHADOW GALLERY has been a headlining band at festivals in the U.S. and Europe. He has also performed steadily throughout Pennsylvania, New York City and various places in The U.S. as a bass guitarist (while simultaneously playing Keyboards with his right hand) and vocalist for the past thirteen years with the JIM ROBERTI TRIO, and Northeast coast favorites, THE MAYBABIES. He has performed at Met Life Stadium (sponsored tailgate events) during the NFL football season, Yankees Stadium, The World Trade Center, The Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, Highline Ballroom and scores of other venues.
